Painting Doll Faces......Oh MY!

Last week I decided I was going to challenge myself painting doll faces. I have always had this fear I would totally mess it up. I sat down traced out my pattern did all what I suppose to do. The time came for me to start on the doll face. I sat there with all the confidence in the world. I was going to do it! lol. Yea right. lol. It turned out more goth than anything. lol. It was suppose to be a sweet little angel face. Frustrated with myself, I started doubting myself. Then I realized one of my sweet friends has a doll tutorial on sewing, stuffing and painting faces. She is so good at what she does. So yesterday as I had a half day off for myself I decided to watch her videos again. They are so informative and helpful. She took her time to make these videos and I really appreciate that. They are free. If you have time you have to check out her doll video classes. Here is the link to her site. http://plumthicket.blogspot.com/
Wishing everyone a blessed Tuesday. Do something that makes you happy!

Ha, I know what you mean. I tried painting on a sample doll face first before the actual doll face. Stitching the face by hand was easier for me. I will check out that tutorial- thanks for the link :)

Your very welcome. I am my worst critic on myself when it comes to my work. Hubby says Im to hard but Im just so picky. lol. I really enjoy how Edna Bridges from Plum Thicket goes over every detail. She is really good at what she does. Have a great night and thanks for stopping by. :)

Try and try again ... there's no such thing as failure until you do not try. GREAT job! Can't wait to see your progress!! And I think I'll be checking out the blog link. Have a good day!!
